景很贊、在房間內看海比其他賓館都過癮、有100多年的老電梯、衞生服務都很周到、還給房間升了級！每個房間還有大捧的鮮花但是黃菊（大堂是白菊）😄、電視接線不好來修了、之前總在餐廳摺紙的老爺爺已不在少許遺憾、客人不少但歐美客人少了、

環境優美，設施和服務有點跟不上，等待時間過長！

I recently visited Mount Lavinia Hotel with my family for dinner during my stay in Sri Lanka, as it has been one of my favorite hotels for years. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed this time around. The quality and variety of the food have significantly declined, and it’s no longer worth the money. Compared to other competitors, the selection here is quite limited. This might explain the noticeable lack of walk-ins during our visit. On a positive note, the service was satisfactory, but it’s not enough to make up for the drop in food quality. I truly hope management takes steps to restore the standards that once made this place special.

I had a wonderful experience at The Terrace at Mount Lavinia Hotel, with its stunning ocean views and relaxing ambiance. A special thanks to Mr. Bandara and Mr. Sumindu for their exceptional service, professionalism, and warm hospitality. Their attentiveness made our visit truly memorable. The food was outstanding, with a diverse and flavorful menu. Combined with the serene setting and impeccable service, The Terrace is a must-visit dining destination. Highly recommended!

This hotel used to be fantastic, but unfortunately, it is a different storey now. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the only good service came from the doormen, who also handled our luggage. We had booked a "direct ocean view room," but it turned out to be a small, tired-looking space with a direct view of a building instead. Disappointed, we opted to pay for an upgrade to a suite, which was much nicer but still had too much room for improvement. The suite needed serious maintenance—chipped toilet seats, chipped flush, and lots of general wear and tear. The bathtub, which was already filled with a bit of water and some rose petals for Valentine's Day unusually took way too long to drain. The staff were busy with Valentine's Day events, but unfortunately, this meant they gave little attention to the hotel’s actual guests. Sun loungers were removed from the pool terrace to make space for dinner tables, and when we inquired about it, we were abruptly dismissed with a rude "not today!"—no apology, no explanation The dining experience was just as disappointing. Both dinner and breakfast were well below expectations in taste and quality—I wouldn't even rate them one star. Breakfast service was particularly poor. No staff guided guests to a table, leaving me to wander around searching for one. I was carrying a toddler alone (as husband was out for water sports), yet no one offered to assist until I explicitly asked after growing exhausted from looking. Even after waiting over 20 minutes for my request for a simple cup of tea, it never arrived. I tried flagging down multiple staff members, and one server, who clearly heard me on passing my table, slowed down but kept walking completely ignoring me. As a young family of three, we travel frequently in Europe and the Caribbean and stay in high-quality hotels, but I rarely leave reviews, whether positive or negative. However, this experience was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share it. For this hotel to regain its former glory, significant improvements need to be made. We once loved this place—including its food—but it’s disheartening to see how much it has deteriorated over the years. It is such a shame as it is in a stunning location with beautiful views and boasts a rich heritage.
